The Indian statutory stack, in one governed payroll.
Each rule moves through draft, scheduled, active and superseded, with an amendment reason. Payroll runs use the rule active on their date, and need a maker and a different checker.
DocklyOne People calculates and keeps evidence. You pay and file through your bank and the government portals, and record the references for a second person to verify.
How payroll worksPF / EPS- Provident Fund and pension
Employee and employer shares, with the EPS split, calculated from the active PF rule. UAN held on the employee record.
ESI- Employee State Insurance
Eligibility and contributions calculated from the active ESI rule.
PT- Professional tax by state
Slabs per state, applied by the employee's work location. A state's revision is a new rule version, not a code change.
LWF- Labour Welfare Fund
State contributions, effective-dated like every other statutory rule.
TDS- Tax deducted at source
Salary TDS with employee tax declarations collected through self-service.
Gratuity- Gratuity
Gratuity rules applied in payroll and at exit.
Min. wage- Minimum wage screening
Before a payroll run, pay is checked against the minimum wage rates you record and shortfalls are flagged.
F&F- Full and final settlement
Exit settlement in the same governed payroll flow, with maker-checker approval.
